William George WOOLNER. Chief-Stoker 119838, Royal Navy on HMS Desparate. Born 22nd May 1864 at Devonport, Devon, enlisted 6th July 1882, died 24th May 1906 aged 42 of malignant carcinoma at Royal Naval Hospital, Malta. In 1881 he was living with his parents, George Henry and Amelia Woolner and his siblings at 41 Cornwall Street, Stoke Damerel, Decon, occcupation aged 15, errand boy. His mother of 19 Melbourne Street, Plymouth was informed of his death 24th May 1906. Wills and Admin, Ancestry - Home address was 19 Melbourne Street, Plymouth. Rank, date of death and place of death, as stated. His effects went to George Henry Woolner, naval pensioner.
