HEDGES William Charles Private 17514, 10th Gloucestershire Regiment. Born 1893 in Chipping Campden to Frederick and Elizabeth Ann Hedges, nee Smith. 1901-1911 residing with his parents and siblings at Pauls Cottages, Mickleton, nr Chipping Campden. 1911 Occupation, Farm labourer. Killed in action 25 September 1915 age 22. His father Frederick was granted a war gratuity 20 December 1915, revised 8 August 1919. Commemorated on the Loos Memorial, France.
