- WILLIAM CARTER HODGSON JAMESON. Deckhand, 4165/S.D Royal Navy Reserve on HM Trawler Princeps. Born 11 April 1891 at Whitby Yorkshire to John Scarth and Mary Jameson, nee Hodgson of 1 Barry’s Square, Crag, Whitby, Yorkshire. Accidentally drowned 6th July 1916 aged 25 years.
At rest in Plot C Grave 322 Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
Commemorated on St Mary's Church War Memorial, Whitby, Yorkshire.
