William Alfred EVANS. Leading Seaman, Signalman 239670, Royal Navy on HMS Orion. Born 4th April 1885 af Forest Hill, London, enlisted 20th September 1907, occupation prior to enlistment, Able Seaman SS639. Died 15th August 1908 aged 22 of a duodenal ulcer and haemorrhage in a hospital in Malta. His mother was informed of his death 17th August 1908. He first enlisted on the 27th June 1904, occupation prior to enlistment, bottler. At rest in Plot B Grave 163, Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
