Sergeant 4194642, William Aled DAVIES, 8th Royal Welch Fusiliers, died 27th September 1942 aged 21. He was the son of Evan, (shoemaker) and Elizabeth of 18, Ruthin Road, Denbigh, Denbighshire.
"A son of Wales who died for freedom"
He is buried at St Marcella's Churchyard, Eglwys Wen, Denbigh. The CWGC have him at the same church, but at Whitchurch, Denbigh. Look for Whitchurch Road, Denbigh (off a roundabout left side) on the A525, it is a short distance from the roundabout.
