Victor Arthur EVANS. Private 1918, 27th Australian Infantry died 30th October 1915, aged 21 in Mtarfa Military Hospital, Malta He was the son of John and Frances (Fanny) living in (1901), Branksome, Dorset. In 1911 he was still with his parents, occupation, student, living at Rosemount, Langley Road, Branksome, Dorset. His father was an army pensioner.

Some notes from his army record.
He joined up 16th June 1915 aged 20 and 11 months., occupation, school teacher. His father was his next of kin and he was living at 1, Clapton Road, Maryatville, South Australia. On the 12th October 1915 he joined his battalion at the Gallipoli Peninsula and was take ill on the 17th October 1915 and admitted into 7th Field Ambulance suffering from dysentery. He was invalided to Malta on Hospital Ship, Nevasa and died in Imtarfa Military Hospital of Scarlet Fever on the 30th October 1915.
