TOWNSEND Maurice, Private 40538, 6th Northamptonshire Regiment, killed in action 10th August 1917 aged 23. Son Joseph & Fanny Coplow Dale, Derbyshire, brother of Geoffrey who also fell, and husband of Collett Talbot,formerly Townsend of Croft Cottage, Bamford. Commemorated on his parents memorial at St Barnabas churchyard, Bradwell, Derbyshire and is buried at Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Belgium

TOWNSEND Geoffrey, Lance Corporal, 27072, 9th Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry presumed killed in action 26th April 1918 aged 24. Son of Joseph & Fanny of Coplow Dale, Tideswell, Buxton, and brother of Maurice who also fell Commemorated on his parents memorial at St Barnabas churchyard, Bradwell, Derbyshire, and also on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium
