Private K/54631 Tom CHAMBERLAIN, 12th South Saskatchewan Regiment, (R.C.I.C.) Royal Canadian Infantry Corps
Born in Newport near Berkeley Glos 11 October 1904 to Thomas and Adelaide Mary Chamberlain nee Bennett of Hayward Road, Soundwell, Staple Hill, Bristol. In 1911 still residing at the same address.
The 23 May 1924 he embarked from the port of Liverpool, and ship, Montcalm, bound for Quebec Canada. His address in England at thir time was Red Walf, Dursley, Glos, occupation, farming.
Married 30 August 1926 to Olive, of Vernon, British Columbia, Canada.
He was killed 16th September 1944 aged 40.
Buried at Coxyde Military Cemetery, West Vlaanderen, Belgium.
Commemorated on a family memorial in Berkeley Cemetery, Berkeley, Gloucestershire

Enlisted at Vancouver, Canada 30 August 1943. Occupation prior to enlistment, Ferry Operator, residence with wife and family Monte Creek, British Columbia, Canada.
Embarked Canada 12 July 1944, The 10 August 1944 somewhere in England. He and his regiment embarked England for France 31 August 1944 disembarking the following day. 16 September 1944 killed in action.
