Thomas Walter BRIGGS, Private, 1913, 2nd Battalion, Australian Infantry. Died of his wounds, 12th August 1915, aged 28 years. The son of Thomas and the late Annie Briggs. Born Surrey.

Azariah TAYLOR, Private, 11747, 8th Service Battalion, Royal Welch Fusiliers, died of wounds 13th August 1915. He was born at Tredegar, Monmouthshire South Wales. He was born in 1889 to Thomas and Hannah. In 1911 he was living with his parents at 7, Picton Street, Tredgar, he was employed by the local colliery as a hewer. His army records have been destroyed by fire and water. There are but a handful of damaged sheets with no useful information on them. He joined up on the 13th August 1914 aged 26 and was a miner by occupation.

Frederick Hanson MERRY, Corporal, 1389, 1st Battalion, Australian Infantry. Died of his wounds, 14th August 1915, aged 23 years. The son of Thomasina Merry and the late James Belford Merry. Born in Dublin, Ireland.
