- PENNEY Thomas. Sergeant, 994, 4th Cheshire Regiment. Died of wounds 22nd August 1915, aged 22 years in Malta. Son of Frederick and Mary Penney, of 6 Glover Street, Birkenhead Fondly remembered.
MERRICK John Joseph. Private, 12/2032, Auckland Regiment, N.Z.E.F. Died in Hamrun Hospital, Malta at 07-45 p.m. the 24th August 1915, of his wounds received at Gallipoli, aged 27 years. The son of Joseph and Eliza Merrick, of 12 Ireland Street, Ponsonby, Auckland, New Zealand.
GRIPP Hans Victor. Trooper, 11/492, Wellington Mounted Rifles, N.Z.E.F. Died of his wounds received at Gallipoli, 28th August 1915. The son of Mr. and Mrs. H.M. Gripp, of Raetihi, New Zealand.
