B.XI.1. Thomas LEDINGHAM. Private, 2287 1/2nd Scottish Horse Yeomonary. Born 1887 at Kennethmont Aberdeenshire, Scotland to James and Sophia Keith Ledingham, nee Pirie. In 1891 residing with his parents and siblings at Hill Head, Premnay, Aberdeenshire. Died in Malta of dysentry 18th September 1915. 31 March 1916 Donald Kennedy for child Flora was granted a war gratuity. On the 13 September 1916, Hugh Kennedy was granted a war gratuity, and on the 4 September 1919, Miss Lizzie Kennedy was granted a war gratuity.

B.XI.1 Oscar LAWSON. Private, 1606, 18th, Australian Infantry, died 18th September 1915. He was born at Longford, Tasmania. Enlisted at Sydney, New South Wales on the 24th April 1915 aged 28, occupation, carpenter. His next of kin was his mother Wilhelmina of Launceston Post Office, Tasmania. He embarked from Sydney on H.M.A.T. A29 Suevic on the 21st December 1914. 3rd September 1915 he was wounded by shrapnel to shoulder and admitted into 1st Australian Casualty Clearing Station, at Anzac Cove, transferred Hospital Ship Nile, admitted into hospital on the 8th September 1915. He died of wounds to his buttock and chest at St Elmo Hospital, Malta on the 18th September 1915.

Alfred HOWITT. Private, 12988, 9th, Sherwood Foresters, Notts and Derby Regiment. Born 1894 in Dunkirk, Nottinghamshire to Joseph and Emma Howitt. 1901- 1911 residing with his parents and siblings at 77 Montpelier Road, Old Lenton, Nottinghamshire, occupation in 1911, polisher. Died in Malta on the 16th September 1915. His father was granted a war gratuity 26 January 1916, revised 28 July 1919.
