Extended Description
Private 24205388 Thomas John FLETCHER, 4th County Fermanagh Battalion.
He was shot dead by the PIRA the 1st March 1972 while off duty aged 43, ten hours prior to the death of Sergeant Henry Dynes Dickson.
He resided at Frevagh, near Garrison, County Fermanagh was shot dead the 1st March 1972 Threats were made by the PIRA to five UDR men to quit their farm, all accept Thomas left their farms.
At rest Church of Ireland Churchyard, Garrison Cemetery, Garrison, County Fermanagh, grave 592.
He is commemorated on a Tree memorial plaque at the UDR Memorial, Ulster Ash Grove, National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire, England
