WILKES Thomas Henry. Private, 2108, Westminster Dragoons, Died of enteric fever, 22nd October 1915, aged 17 years. The son of Thomas Henry and Mrs. Sara Aann Wilkes, nee Jackett of 54 Leigham Vale, Streatham, London. His mother, Sarah Ann, brothers, Charles W and Reginald Jack were all granted a war gratuity. Sarah and Charles on the 15th February 1916 and Reginald on the 8th March 1916. In 1911 he was living with his widowed mother and siblings at 6a Avenue Park Road, West Norwood, Lambeth, London.
BROWN James A. Company Quartermaster Sergeant (CQMS) 109, 4th, Royal Scots (Queen’s Edinburgh Rifles), died 19th October 1915. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland. His widow Agnes, daughters, Grace, Catherine, sons, James and Andrew were all granted a war gratuity on the 28th June 1916. In 1901 he was living with his wife and children at 30 Dickson Street, Leith, Scotland.
MAGILL Eric Lindsay. Corporal 474, 7th Australian Light Horse, died 20th October 1915 aged 27. Loved by all. We miss you sadly at home. May you rest well.
