- Stewart Louis Anderson CARTER, Colonel 50221, O.B.E., M.C. Served as Major 50221 with the 2nd Sherwood Foresters. Born 13th January 1912 at Thetford, Norfolk and died 2nd August 1999. Son of Louis Alfred Latimer and Evelyn Norah Abbot , nee Anderson Christian, Gentleman, Soldier, Patriot, Countryman.
A man of courtesy, fought of King and Country in the 1939-45 war and served this community for 31 years. greatly loved and sorely missed.
At rest in Holy Cross Churchyard, Avening, Gloucestershire.
