SIMPSON, Leonard

Private 4/8720, Leonard SIMPSON, 59th Training Reserve died 3rd March 1917 aged 18. He was the son of John and Mary, He is at rest in St Margaret Churchyard, Bodelwyddan, Denbighshire, North Wales.
Some notes from what is left of his military record.
He joined up on the 9th February 1917 at Wrexham. Gave his father, John as his next of kin, His parents were both deceased. He gave an address of Brandy Cottage, Ruabon. and his occupation as a farm labourer. On the 20th February 1917 he was admitted to Kinmel Park Military Hospital and on the 3rd March 1918 he died of Pneumonia at the hospital.
