Sidney William George EDE. Telegraphist J77429 Royal Navy on HMS Diligence. Born 23 August 1900 at Willesdon London, enlisted 27 August 1917 on HMS Powerful civilian occupation, factory hand. Admitted to hospital 16 February 1924 seriously ill, died 17th February 1924 aged 23 years at Royal Naval Hospital Malta from acute yellow fever, atrophy toxic jaundice. His mother was informed of his death 18th February 1924.
