SEFTON Thomas Henry

Stoker 1st Class RFR/Ch/B/7882 Thomas Henry SEFTON, Royal Navy, H.M.S. Hawke. Born 29th April 1888 to William Henry and Eliza Jane and he died at sea on the 15th October 1914. In 1901 he was living with his parents and siblings at 17, Lortroy Street, Woodvale, Belfast and in 1911 his parents were now living at 6, Crosby Street, Woodvale, Belfast. He was in 1911 at the Royal Naval Barracks, Chatham. At the time of his death his mother was not at 23, Carlow Street, Belfast. He is commemorated on the Chatham Naval Memorial, Kent. In June 2014 he was commemorated on a poppy cross at the Woodstock Road War Memorial, East Belfast.
