William MELLOR. Private 12749, 1st Lincolnshire Regiment. Born 1891 to William and Mary Ann Mellor. 1901 -1911 residing with his parents and siblings at of 23, Derby Road, Ilkeston. 1911, occupation, engineer fitter’s labourer. Died of wounds 18 July 1916 aged 25 years.

Ernest MONKS. Private 23239, 3rd Sherwood Foresters (Notts and Derby Regiment). Born 1881 Nottingham to George Monks. 1901 residing with married father and sister, Sarah, at 41 Market Street, Ilkeston, Derbyshire, occupation, builder’s labourer. Married Alice Pollard 30 July 1904 at Baptist Chapel, Ilkeston. Children, Ethel, 21 June 1905 and Ernest born 27 June 1907, both at Ilkeston. 1911 residing with his family at 6, Dorothy Cottages, Ilkeston, occupation, coalminer hewer. He joined the army 16 February 1915 at Mansfield, Nottinghamshire aged 35 years and 332 days. Residing at 36 Bradder Street, Mansfield, occupation, coal miner. He was posted 25 February 1915 to 3rd Sherwood Foresters. Discharged from the army 17 March 1916, no longer physically fit for war service. He died in the registration district of Bingham; 2 March 1918 aged 37 years. His widow was granted a war gratuity 31 October 1919.

Arthur REDDISH. Ordinary Seaman, Bristol, Z/7803 Royal Naval (VR) at Crystal Palace Royal Navy Depot. Born 4 July 1900 at Derbyshire to Henry George and Lucy Ellen Reddish, nee Sketchley of 101, Wharncliffe Road, Ilkeston. 1911 residing with his parents and siblings at 17 Jackson Avenue, Ilkeston Died 9 October 1918 aged 18 years of pneumonia and heart failure. His father who was informed of his death.
