Scottish Air Division (Naval Air Squadron)

In honour of the Members who served subsequently in
1830 (Naval Air Squadron) and 1843 Squadrons known as the Scottish Air Division.

No.1843 Squadron was re-formed on March 28th 1953 at RNAS Abbotsinch as an RNVR Anti-Submarine squadron by renumbering No.1830A Squadron. 1830A had formed at RNAS Donibristle on 1 October 1952 as an offshoot of 1830, and formed part of the Scottish Air Division of the RN Volunteer Reserve, later being promoted to full squadron status. The new squadron shared a pool of aircraft with 1830. R.N.V.R. Air Branch disbands Due tor defence spending cuts the R.N.V.R. Air Branch was axed in 1957, the organisation and its squadrons ceased to exist on March 10th 1957.
