SASR "The Bitch" SLR

The SLR was heavy enough without the grenade launcher
Needs must I suppose. I love the SLR, when I served in the British Army, then they gave me an SA80 in my last few years, didn't like it much at all

The Aus SASR "bitch" SLR was a field mod carried out in country during Vietnam War. The usual mod of the L1A1 consisted of simply shortening the barrel and gas system, installing a full auto selector and then they added a 40mm grenade launcher with a fore grip (usually ripped off from the M203), a L2A1 top cover, and cammo paint... . Add the 30 round mags from the heavy barrel L2A1 and you have "The Bitch"
