PEERS, Samuel Last. Private 6400, 190th Company, Machine Gun Corps, (Infantry), formerly Private 45863, Cheshire Regiment whofell in action in France 11th August 1917 aged 25. "Far from those who loved him dearly in a hero\'s grave he lies" He was the son of John and Mary Ann of 39, Tatton Street, Knutsford. He is commemorated on a family memorial in Knutsford Cemetery, Cheshire and also on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Belgium.
