Sam Tunnicliffe (Peter) DANIELS. Flying Officer, Navigator 132723 Royal Air Force VR No 16 Operational Training Unit at RAF Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire.
Born 1921 to Samuel and Hannah Daniels, nee Thompson of Clay Cross.

He was part crew of five in a Wellington III BJ981, 16 OUT on the 8 June 1943 which during a training flight suffered catastrophic structural failure and spiralled into the ground north of Towcester, Northamptonshire,. All crew perished at the scene. He was aged 21 years.
