- Pilot Officer, Pilot, 61986, Roy Frederick Benson Temperley. 50th Squadron, RAF Bomber Command RAF Swinderby Lincolnshire. Killed 25 August 1941 aged 20. Son of Frederick Henry and Mary Joyce of Datchworth, Hertfordshire. Buried at Rheinberg War Cemetery, Kamp Lintfort, Germany
He was part crew of five flying in a Hampden I AE320 of 50 Squadron which took off from RAF Swinderby 25 Aug 1941.
Aircraft shot down and crashed at Niederdonven, Luxembourg all perished.
