- Robert Stewart NICHOLL. Detective Constable Royal Ulster Constabulary. attached to Springfield Road RUC Barracks, North Belfast. He was shot dead 13 October 1972 aged 22 in Belfast city centre by a British Soldier when he failed to stop for soldiers on duty in Castle Street. At rest in Roselawn Cemetery, Belfast, Northern Ireland.
