Robert or Austin William WINTER

Who is at rest in this location ??

WINTER, A W. This headstone appears to be incorrect. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission have had this stone inscribed as A W WINTER. There are some extra documents that can be looked at on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, site and there is a record showing the name of Austin William Winter.
Austin Winter was a soldier and I have seen his army record, but he was Acting Sergeant 285392, Royal Garrison Artillery, he died at his home on the 14th April 1927 at 1 Pugh Terrace,

A record was found for a Sergeant 17608 Robert Winter, of the 3rd King's Shropshire Light Infantry died in the 5th Northern General Hospital, Leicester, of a haematoma (blood clot) on the 10th December 1917. He was born in Salford Lancashire and lived in Wolverhampton.

No army record could be found for Robert Winter, but some were found for Austin. Austin enlisted on the 16th September 1914 as Gunner 20020, 5th South Staffordshire Regiment attached to the 28th Provisional Battalion, Territorial Force He lived at 1, Pugh Terrace, Merridale Street, Wolverhampton with his mother, Emily. On the 6th July 1916 he was medically discharged under Para 392 (XVI) K.R. No longer physically fit for war service. He had suffered for 15 years of varicose veins which were causing him pain and discomfort. He re-enlisted into the army on the 13th March 1917 and was posted the 57th Coy, Royal Garrison Artillery as gunner 285392, later to be promoted to acting sergeant. He was at South Camp, Ripon on the 15th March 1917 and on the 17th July 1917 he was posted to join the B.E.F., in France and on the 11th September 1917 he was back un England. He was again medically discharged from the army on the 12th April 1918 at Dover as being physically unfit for war service, he was aged 35 years and 1 month. He was discharged to his home at 1, Pugh Terrace, Merridale Street. He had served 1yr and 194 days.

If any person has any information on Robert it would be very much appreciated.

I have been unable to find any death registration for both person for the period 1917 except for Austin's father who is also called Austin William who died in 1917!!
