- CAIRNS Robert. Stoker 1st Class, K/14000 Royal Navy on HMS Russell. Born 23 April 1893 at Belfast Ireland, enlisted 2 February 1912 on HMS Pembroke II occupation prior to enlistment labourer. Died 27th April 1916 aged 23 years when HMS Russell was sunk by a mine. His sister Maggie of Clementine Street Belfast was informed of his death.
At rest in Plot C Grave 313 Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
