Robert Arnold THOMPSON. Second Lieutenant 121604 East Lancashire Regiment. Born 1914 in Belfast to William and Florence Olivia Thompson, nee McClure. Died at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, Lancashire 14 April 1940 aged 27 from injuries sustained from being knock down by a motor car. Last place of residence 41 Myrtlefield Park, Belfast.

At rest in Dundonald Cemetery, Dundonald Sec. C.1. Grave 9. He is commemorated on the Windsor Presbyterian Church War Memorial, Belfast.

Died the 28 July 1945 in Military Hospital, Cairo, Al Qahirah, Egypt. Sketchy records that she and others were involved in an Anson plane crash in Egypt.
