HOOPER Richard James. Private, 3034, 1st London Regiment (Royal Fusiliers). Died of dysentery, 5th November 1915, aged 19 years in Malta, which he contracted while on active service at Gallipoli. The son of Mrs. Florence Glazer (formerly Hooper), of 43 Rectory Road, Walthamstow, London.

ANCRUM Charles Henry Adshead. Able Seaman, (Kitchener) KX/493, Royal Naval (VR) , Hood Battalion, R.N. Division. Died 5th November 1915, aged 43 years, of dysentery at 2.40am in St Andrews Military Hospital, Malta. The husband of Alice Mary Ancrum, (formerly Porter nee Laidler) of 48 Brabourne Street, Tyne Dock, South Shields.
(Great Britain, Royal Naval Division Casualties of the Great War, Ancestry) - Enlisted in the Northumberland Fusiliers 29th August 1914 and transferred to the RNVR 9th of Sept. 1914 Hood Battalion. C/260 (not at Antwerp) 9/9/14-7/9/15 to hospital, Septic right hand.
Rated AB Higher Grade 25/7/15. Born Gateshead 1st April 1879. A Carpenter. Husband of Alice Ancrum, of 48 Brabourne Road, Tyne Dock, South Shields, Co. Durham. ADM/171 = St.V.B. issued to Widow. (Naval Medal and Award Rolls)

BOWDEN George Shirley. Private, 2274, C Coy, 1st/7th Battalion, Manchester Regiment, died 5th November 1915, aged 22 years in Malta. The son of Joe and Elizabeth Maud Bowden, of 26 Elmfield Road, Davenport, Stockport.
