REGINALD ST CLARE WEBB . GUNNER RMA9661 ROYAL MARINE ARTILLERY BORN 20 MAY 1882 TO GEORGE AND ANNIE OF DERBY. ENLISTED 27 JUL 1901. DIED 3 JAN 1905 AGED 22 OF MEDITERRANEAN FEVER IN A HOSPITAL IN MALTA. HIS FATHER WAS INFORMED OF HIS DEATH 9.1.05. AT REST IN PLOT A GRAVE 91 KALKARA NAVAL CEMETERY, MALTA.

Reginald St.Clare WEBB, Gunner, Royal Marine Artillery. Born 20th May 1882, near Derby, the son of George Webb. He enlisted on 27th July 1901 and served on HMS Russell from February 1903 until April 1904, when he transferred to HMS Queen. He died 3rd January 1905 and was buried in Kalkara Naval Cemetery. His grave remained unmarked until 2004 when ‘Royal Marines in Foreign Fields’ Malta, supplied a memorial.
