Plomer John YOUNG. Born in Ireland. Captain, of the 14th Regiment. Died 2nd February 1865 aged 44. Son of Major Graham Plomer Young.
This tomb was erected by his sorrowing widow who deeply mourned the loss of a devoted and beloved husband.
At rest in Ta Braxia Cemetery, Malta
He was married on the 20th August 1844 to Jane Stavely at Christ Church, Delgany, Ireland.

To be Captain without purchase. 14th Foot, Captain Plomer John Young, from halfpay. Unattached. Dated 7th July, 1854.
London Gazette dated 7th October 1862 -
14th Foot—Lieutenant John Shaw Phelps to be Captain, by purchase, vice Plomer John Young, who retires. Dated 3d October 1862

The Will of Plomer John Young late of Morehampton Terrace Donny Brook Road Dublin Ireland late captain in Her Majesty's 14th Regiment of Infantry died 2nd February 1865 at Malta was proved at Principal Registry by the oath of Jane Young of 14 Morehampton Terrace aforesaid widow, the relict and the sole executrix.
