Private 8450, 2nd Sherwood Foresters Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment killed in action 20th October 1914 age 34. Eldest son of Abraham and Emma of 6 Holmwood Terrace, Lightwood Road, Buxton, Derbyshire. Commemorated on his parents headstone in Fairfield Churchyard and is also commemorated on the Ploegstreert Memorial, Belgium. [The Commonwealth War Graves Commission have his age as 38]
