ARMER William, Private 90993, 8th Liverpool Regiment killed in action 13th September 1918 aged 19. He was the son of William and Mary Armer, of The Ship Inn, Pilling, Garstang, Lancs. He is commemorated on the Vis-En-Artois Memorial, France

BUTLER Joseph Taylor Private 47620 3rd Wellingtons Regiment New Zealand Expeditionary Force killed in action 4th October 1917 at Ypres aged 34. He was the son Jeremiah and Isabella Ann Butler, of Chestnut House, Pilling, Garstang, Lancashire, He embarked Wellington, New Zealand on the 26th April 1917 bound for Plymouth on the ship Turakia with the 25th Reinforcements Wellington Infantry Regiment b Company He is buried at Tyne Cot Cemetery, Zonnebeke, Belgium
CARTER William, Private 21873, 8th Royal Lancaster Regiment died 19th May 1916 aged 38. He was the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Carter, of 17, Higher Green, Poulton-le-Fylde, Preston. He is at rest in Kemmel Chateau Military Cemetery, Heuvelland, Belgium

HALL Thomas Fairclough, Private 24230 Royal Lancaster Regiment died of wounds in the field on the 26th October 1918 aged 24. He was the son of Richard and Margery of Pilling and brother of G A Pilling of Old Carr Farm, Pilling and brother of Richard who also fell. and husband of Alice. She died on the 11th July 1917 aged 21 at Half Acre, Pilling Lane, Preesall, Thomas was at her bedside when she died. He is at rest in Estaires Communal Cemetery, Extension Nord France
HORNBY William, Lance Corporal 260332 7th Border Regiment and formerly 345283 Westmorland Cumberland Yeomanry, died 23rd March 1918 aged 24. He was the son of William and Grace Hornby, of Station Rd., Pilling, Garstang, Preston. He is commemorated on the Arras Memorial, France.

JENKINSON, John, Fusilier 3860604, 1st Royal Irish Fusiliers died 6th October 1943 aged 28. He was the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Jenkinson, of Pilling, Lancashire and husband of Jenny Jenkinson, of Pilling. He is at rest in Sangro River War cemetery, Italy.
