Private 40779, Phillip William TARRANT, 2nd South Wales Borderers, formerly 24200 Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, killed in action 23rd April 1917 aged 37. He was the son of Phillip Samuel and Catherine Harriot and was the husband of Emily Jane of College Farm, Datchet, Buckinghamshire. He was born at Stoney Stratford, Buckinghamshire, and he is commemorated on the Arras Memorial, France. This memorial is part of the Memory Tree at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire.
