PEUGEOT, Jules Andre

He was the first man killed in the Great War He was shot by the Germans on the 2nd August 1914 at 10 o'clock on the morning before the declaration of war. He was shot not far from the Swiss frontier and 6 miles for the French and German frontiers. There is a monument erected in his memory at the spot where he was shot
