Son of Basil Howard Alers Hankey, C.B.E., and of Maud Wyndham Alers Hankey (nee Goodden), of Chippenham. And brother of Wyndham Basil who also died in the war. At rest in St Giles Churchyard Stanton St Quintin, Wiltshire
