COTHER George Pte 5812, 1st Gloucestershire Regt died 23 August 1916. Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France

LANGFORD Arthur John Pte 59552 3rd Worcestershire Regt, killed in action 9 Oct 1916 Native of Evesham Worcestershire and was a resident of Paxford. Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France

NEWMAN Robert Gerald L/Cpl SPTS/1645, 30th Reserve Royal Fusiliers died 27 May 1917 aged 21. Son of Richard G and Emma of Paxford, Gloucestershire. Buried in Orchard Dump Cemetery, Arleux-En-Gohelle, France

ROUSE William The memorial has Pte 10th Gloucestershire Regt died 20 Oct 1916. Checked with the Soldiers of Gloucestershire, Medal Index Roll, SDGW, Ancestry and the CWGC and no William (and variant) Rouse has served with the Glosters. There is a William Rouse who was killed on the same day and he was Private 20404, 1st Worcestershire Regiment and he is buried in Bancourt British Cemetery, France.

TAPLIN Arthur Gunner 67261, 173rd Machine Gun Corps, died 21 June 1916. Buried in Cite Bonjean Military Cemetery, Armentieres, France

TAPLIN Harry Pte Gloucestershire Regt died 22 Jan 1915, The only H Taplin who died on the same day is Henry Taplin Private S4/0420242 of the Royal Army Service Corps who died in England. he was the husband of S E Taplin of Draycott, Blockley, Worcestershire. Buried in Aldershot Military Cemetery, Hampshire (Military records shown him as Henry and only serving with RASC), 1911 census as Harry with his parents George and Harriet along with Arthur in Paxford
