PATON David Bruce, Flight Sergeant, Wireless Operator, Air Gunner, 1176975, Royal Air Force, 9 Squadron, Bomber Command killed in action 29th September 1942 aged 35. He was the son of Hugh and Esther and husband of Mary Howorth Paton of Tilford, Surrey. In 1911 he was living with his parents at Rose Cottage, Syston Park, Grantham, Nottinghamshire
He is commemorated on his father's memorial in St Oswald churchyard, Lower Peover, Cheshire and he is at rest in Pozan Old Garrison Cemetery, Poland
