Our operations maps every pilot usually had. Fort Wolters Aviation flight school for the helicopters had little small airfields all over the Mineral Wells territory that were setup on exact same approach and headings as actual airfields in Vietnam.
Today only a handful of those old landing strips are still visible from the air, most have gone back to just being an empty field as they were 60 years ago.
