NYMPSFIELD CHURCH WAR MEMORIAL, GLOUCESTERSHIR

This memorial (Plaque) in situated inside the St Bartholomews Church, Nympsfield

In loving memory of the men of this village who laid down their lives in the Great War

1914-1918​
CLIFFORD Abel Pte 17651, 11th Gloucestershire Regt, suffered illness and died Saturday 6 March 1915. Son of Robert and Edith Alice of Townsend, Nympsfield. Brother of Richard who also fell. Buried in St Bartholomews Churchyard, Nympsfield beside his brother

CLIFFORD Richard Henry Driver 19520, Royal Engineers transferred to the Labour Corps as Pte 437116, died 14/11/1918 age 23. Son of Robert and Edith Alice of Townsend, Nympsfield, brother of Abel who also fell and his buried beside his brother in St Bartholomews churchyard


CLUNE Laurence Victor Francis Pte 27047, 1st Grenadier Guards died 29/1/1918 age 19.Foster son of Mary Herbert of Chapel House, Nympsfield. Buried in Level Crossing Cemetery, Fampoux, France.II.A.3

HOLLOWAY Percy Hubert Pte 203434, 6th Durham Light Infantry, died 2/11/1917 age 19. Son of Benjamin and Elizabeth of The Buildings, Nympsfield. Buried in Dozinghem Military Cemetery, Belgium. XV.D.4
