NOBLE, Samuel Clarke

Loving glory to God for the life and work of Samuel Clarke Noble who fell asleep 3rd December 1926 and in memory of whom this window is placed here by his widow
He was by profession a Medical Doctor in Kendal, Westmorland He was Surgeon Major of the 2nd Border Regiment (Volunteers), and during the great war, although nearly 80 years of age was given the title of Honorary Medical Officer and he undertook without remuneration the examining all military recruits in Westmorland.
