NESBITT Robert Matthew

Private 30054 Robert Matthew NESBITT. 16th Lancashire Fusiliers. Killed in action 5th November 1918 aged 36. He was the son of Samuel and Mary Nesbitt, of Wilson St., Belfast, formerly, 52, Joseph Street, Belfast and was the husband of Mary Nesbitt, of 36, Campbell Street, Belfast. Ireland. He was the brother of Samuel and brother in law of Richard Purdy (RN) who both fell in the great war. He is commemorated on a family memorial in Dundonald Cemetery, County Down, Northern Ireland. He is at rest in Premont British Cemetery, Aisne, France.
