CHALLIS Michael. Private, PW/2594, 26th Middlesex Regiment, died 2nd October 1916. Born at St George\'s Middlesex. Some notes from what remains of his army record. He joined up on the 13th May 1915 at Shoreditch aged 33. He was by occupation a dock labourer and lived at 13, Burr Street, St George, London. His brother, George Arthur of 23 Stafford Road, Bow, London was his next of kin. On the 12th August 1916 he embarked Devonport and disembarked at Salonica on the 24th August 1916. He was taken ill in Salonica and transferred to Imtarfa Military Hospital, Malta with Dysentery where he died on the 2nd October 1916.
BULLIN Charles. Driver, T4/212562, 483rd Horse Transport. Coy., 27th Divisional Train, Royal Army Service Corps. he was wounded in the Balkans and died in Malta on the 19th October 1916, aged 30 years. He was the son of Thomas and Mary Bullin, of 3 Bay View Crescent, Swansea, Wales and was the husband of Lily May Bullin, of The Isolation Hospital, Groby Road, Leicester.
DIX Bertie Driver, T4/092740, Horse Transport. Royal Army Service Corps, attached 18th Veterinary Hospital, died 20th October 1916. He was born at Gimingham, Norfolk
