This variation of the Me-323 is the Me 323 E-2/WT "Rhino"
Intended to be an armed escort for other Me-323s. this one had no cargo carrying ability. Crew was increased to 15 to operated the added 20mm nose turret and other gun positions. 1.3 tons of armor were added.
Sounded good in theory, but dedicated fighter escort was very much the more sound plan. Only two of these monstrosities were made.
