Maurice John KNIGHT

Private 23401, Maurice John Knight, A Company, 3rd Gloucestershire Regiment died 9th June 1918 aged 21. He was the son of Charles Clement and Annie Knight, of The Firs, Parton Road, Churchdown. Buried at St Bartholomew Churchyard, Churchdown, Gloucestershire

Enlisted at Horfield Barracks, Bristol 6th July 1915, gave his address as Victoria Cottage, Cheltenham Road, Churchdown and his father, Charles Clement as his next of kin. He was posted to ?? on the 24th March 1916 and later was invalided back to England and sent to Birmingham Military Hospital where he was medically discharged on the 18th April 1917 No longer physically fit for war service under Para 392/ XVI, Kings Regulations. He suffered from Pulmonary Tuberculosis
