Born 1879 to John Henry and Mary Jane Unwin of (1881) Faggots Row, Market Street, parish of Clay Cross. 1891 with his parents at Park Terrace, Market Street, Claycross. 1901 boarding at the home of the Ramsay family at Mill Villas, Buckhurst, Essex, occupation assistant schoolmaster.
21 May 1904 he married Susan Holland in the parish church of Clay Cross. His residence was given at Thanet Street, Clay Cross occupation teacher.
1911 with his wife Susan and son Reginald at Stanley Villa, Clay Cross, occupation assistant schoolmaster.
Wills and Admin, Ancestry. He resided at Briardene Holmgate Road, Clay Cross. Died on date stated. His effects went to his widow £1057 19s 1d.
Died 14th July 1930 aged 51.
Susan, his wife died 8th December 1988 aged 107 years
At rest with his wife in Clay Cross Cemetery, Derbyshire.
