- Private, 1st Field ambulance, South African Medical Corps, died of wounds on Hospital Ship, Ebani, 28th December 1914 aged 37. Son of Mark and Annie of the Heath, Sandbach and husband of Nellie.
He was interred at the cemetery Walvis Bay, C.S.W Africa now at Swakopmund Municipal Cemetery, Africa
He is commemorated on his parents' memorial at St John, Sandbach Heath, Cheshire
