Maggie McMASTER daughter of Sergeant , (20th Regiment of Foot) 3rd Battalion, Lancashire Fusiliers, Born 4th July 1898 baptised 17th July 1898 both at Preston, Lancashire died 25th October 1899 aged 15 months laid to rest the following dayShe may have been the daughter of Gordon McMaster and Louise Annie Eleanor. In 1899 James Henry McMaster was baptised in Malta likewise Walter McMaster born in and baptised in Malta 1901. Their father was serving with the 20th Regiment of Foot (Lancashire Fusiliers) In 1911 Gordon McMaster was now a civilian aged 42. He was living with his wife and two children both born in Malta at 99 Strathmore Crescent, Benwell Northumberland.
Maggie would have been my great aunt I visited her grave in 2013. Gordon and Louisa went on to have eleven children one of whom was my own Grandfather Edward Andrew McMaster 1904
Gordon died in 1942 in Wigan and Louisa twelve years later both buried in Wigan, They came to Belfast in 1912 to work in the shipyard. Gordon served in the Boar war and WW1 all his children stayed in Belfast when Louisa and Gordon moved back to Wigan to be near his sister
