The fallen agents

BAYARD, Madeleine Victorine, First Officer, Women's Royal Naval Service, attached to Special Operations Executive,
Daughter of Adele Bayard, father unknown of Santeny, France.

The following in (brackets) is credited to Wartime Spy Ladies
Served as Madeline BARCLAY (on the French merchant vessel Le Rhin. After the fall of France, in 1940, the ship escaped to Britain and was accepted for service with SOE, re-commissioned as HMS Fidelity, with its French crew inducted into the Royal Navy.)

She died aged 32 years at sea with the rest of the crew after HMS Fidelity was torpedoed 1st December 1943.
Commemorated on the Portsmouth Naval Memorial, Hampshire

BYCK, Murial Tamara, Section Officer 9111, Women's Auxiliary Air Force, attached to Special Operations Executive, died of meningitis in France 23rd May 1944 aged 25. Daughter of Jacques Byck and Luba Byck of Torquay, Devon. Buried at Pornic War Cemetery, France.

RUDELLAT, Yvonne Claire, Ensign F/2, Women's Transport Services, First Aid Nursing Yeomanry (Princess Royal Volunteer Corps), attached to Special Operations Executive died of Typhus at Belsen,23rd or 24th April 1945 aged 48 Daughter of Henri and Mathilda Cerneau, of Maisons- Lefitte, France. Commemorated on the Brookwood Memorial, Surrey
