M4. GUY VICTOR WATSON PAUL, Lieutenant 824, Royal Naval Reserve stationed on HMS Egmont, shore base, Malta. Born 21 May 1876, baptised 8 July 1876 at Calne Wiltshire, son of Ernest Watson (Physcian) and Kathleen Paul nee Jennings. 1881 he was residing with his parents and siblings at 5 St Aubyn Street, Stoke Damerel, Devon. 1891 with his parents and siblings at 3 Colebrook Terrace, Southwick, Sussex. 7 March 1892 aged 16 years he was an apprentice in the Merchant Navy. He was married in Shanghai, China 11 June 1907 aged 31 to Ada Elizabeth Pearson, spinster, aged 25 years. His occupation was a Master Mariner. He was awarded the Victory Medal and British War Medal 1914-1920. Died at Sisters Hospital, Sliema, Malta 19th August 1919 of (DT’s) Delirium Tremens and pneumonia and heart failure.
