Private 24482414 Linden Colin HOUSTON, 9th County Antrim Battalion. he was shot and mortally wounded at close range by INLA gunmen at his home in Sunnymede Avenue, Dunmurry, Belfast, County Antrim on the 20th January 1984 aged 30, he died in his wife's arms, He had only recently joined the battalion and was still undergoing training at the UDR's Ballykinlar Training Camp.
He is commemorated on the UDR Memorial, Castle Street, Lisburn, County Antrim, Northern Ireland,
The Ulster Defence Regiment Roll of Honour has his surname as HUSTON. A.F.M have HOUSTON.
